a big thanks to Thumper for making a great site for a very unappreciated side of the exteme sports world. there are not that many vert skaters at parks these days. mostly the vert ramps are used by kids to practice pumping. but your bringing the next generation back into the vert ramp. with this site your giving new vert rollers (like myself) a place to learn(since vert rollers are so few and far between), and discuss our sport. and a big thanks goes out to you again.

lean forward/down bend your knees but don't lean out over the ramp too much that will make you drop to the bottom. If you can skate up starting from the bottom you can usually drop in.
i think the best way to help the next generation is to pull the biggest tricks you can do. jthat way, others will see how sick this sport is and will want to get involved. i think it's up to the vert rollers now. in the street rolling boards, all i see nowadays are kids posting edits of them skating their practice rails, or some ledge.
it seems like nobody skates rails anymore. the crew where i live is made up of 7 people, but only 3 of us do handrails. i dont think skating ledges will impress people. i'm not trying to skate for other people's entertainment, but i started rolling because i saw airborne and brink, and then i saw some kids killing the bowl at vans. so the way i see it, if we skate bigger/harder obstacles, like rails, then more people will want to try and maybe rolling can get out of it's slump. it's not going to happen unless we get some outside help.

add last ive got the chance to get inro vert, have been doing street for the past 11yrs 2yrs Rec. and never had a vert near by, so manytimes ive seen vert rollers out there on TV eg Fuel TV and Euro sports and it all looks insane dont know what else they want, rocket packs straped to us so we can fly 50m in the air and do a huge number of tricks? and not mention land hehe, yea well we still get on payTV but for us freestyleRollers we hardly do, get on, well there's LG action sports,ASA and NAS(is that right) nothing on public TV which is what we need even if its 2hours a week. Fuel only shows some ancient footage of us which kind of sets us back even more.
