I try to 180 stall on its coping but im having trouble getting more air.Ive only been able to do it like 3 times but i cant get it anymore Should i pump my legs more? or what am i doing wrong? i can go up and down backwards but im having trouble getting out of the pipe by 180ing out of a fakie SOS?

it's definitely your bearings. your technique sounds awesome. go into a skateboard shop and get some Bones Swiss Ceramics. they're like $100 but it's worth it for the phat air you'll get. most skate shops are really cool to in line skaters, as long as you wear cool clothes (anything Bam or Hot Topic pants with the shit all over them). bring your skates with you....they'll probably install your bearings for free too.

hope this helps.

Thanks, but i dont know if its my bearings. I rolled my wheels against the floor with about medium strenght. than picked them up. the first one to stop took about 10 seconds and the last one finished about 20 sec. any other ideas?

hey Mjoebe2 i really think this has nothing to do with your bearings atall as other people seem to be suggesting. Obviously bearings are no faster rotating forwards than they are backwards, and you can get out etc forwards, its just your having trouble holding your speed backwards, which obviously shows that its a technique thing. So just watch some videos and other people at the your skate park and watch how they pump backwards, just work on it, pump techniques dont just come over time, they need alot of work. You never stop improving your pump. Basicaly what you will find is that techneque is everything, hardware (bearings, wheels, frames etc) do very little unless you have the ground work to back it up. I have seen kids with super fast set ups, but they can get about 3 quarters of the way up a vert after their droppin. Like wise i remember seeing a guy at the Highrollers comp in amsterdam a few years ago who had anti rocker set up (two wheels each skate) all his wheels were fucked and were about 47mm and his bearings didnt spin, u could turn them by hand but they wouldnt spin if you pushed them....he could 540 4ft out of the top of the 13ft vert! so there you go, its all technique! just watch and learn from other people...good luck!

Thanks, i'll try that. it just feels so wierd going up backwards. I have abec 3 bearings and there just fine, i can get a lot of speed off mini ramps and such, but ill try going up backwards more. ill take your advice and try it out. thanks
