Hey thumper have you given any though as to maybe creating a High rollaz skate team?? I know it's probably a dumb idea that wouldn't work out but i think it would be cool to have a high rollaz team, do demos, trips, video's things like that. If you want i could help you get one started becuase i've had my hand at starting things like this, i created 2 skate teams in my area and im about to release 2 videos as well. just giving ideas out that could help promote Hirollaz.org and vert skating in general.

you just come up with all kinds of ideas, don't you? its not really that bad of an idea, but how could you get everyone together for something like that since everyone lives in different states? just a thought. i do like the idea of the stickers though.

i dont know where i get all these idea's they just pop into my head so i post them .about getting everyone togther that what the trips and demo's are about, we start planning about 2-3 months in advance, get every or almost every one board with dates, set-up parks and place to do demos or just to skate and get a meeting place, say chicago, Houston, or any other major city and meet up at the major airport there, get a BIG van and do a trip. I did one big trip which was pretty fun, 7 days traveling through Wisconsin, Minnesota, iowa, and illionois. just 7 strair days or skating and driving.

yea, that does sound cool...but what about people like me that are in college and stuff like that, that don't have that much money to be traveling around everywhere?

Paul
10-18-2004, 05:07 PM
hey im in college to, thats why most trips are done during summer, or spring break that way school it's much of a factor at all.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:10 PM
i know but i was talking about money wise, what are we gonna do? how do we get to these places your talking about?

Paul

im glad you brouht the sticker idea back, im going to work on some designs and see what ppl think, though im not very good at drawing so most will be computer degerated intead of hand drawn. but if anyone is good at art creat something and post it, also send me a copy through e-mail and i'll see what i can do about stickers becuase i just found out that my college has the hardware to make some really good one's.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:13 PM
cool....i'll see what i can think up.

Paul
10-18-2004, 05:14 PM
SAVE UP BIG TIME :) :) . thats why a first trip would be a small one. just to get our feet wet, if you know what i mean, plus if we do a small trip, say 5-7 days, i can get enough footage to make a pretty good video. we can then take the sale's of the video and other ideas we come up with to make bigger and better trips.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:17 PM
ok...i see what your saying. i guess its a good thing i got some money in the bank. did you get that pm. i sent you?

Paul
10-18-2004, 05:17 PM
i know ppl will buy the video to, ppl get curiouse about new stuff, becuase i made $300 by selling my first video, which wasn't really that good now that i look back at it, just becuase it was new and ppl wanted to see what it was like, my first video had Blade, BMX, AND skateboard on it so ppl wanted to see how i did with it and most of the ppl who saw it liked it.

Paul
10-18-2004, 05:18 PM
about your phone #, ya i got it

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:22 PM
yea, cause most people don't actually see vert skaters that much. so it is kind of intresting. i know that when anyone goes to the top of the vert ramp here a small crowd begins to gather. no one really skates it that much. and to see people fly 5-6' out is just amazing to some people, actually you could just drop-in and they'd be amazed.

Paul
10-18-2004, 05:25 PM
then they'll love me becuase i've been hitting 4-5 feet, which i feel is pretty good after only 3 months on skating vert and only being able to skate vert ONCE a week if im lucky sometimes it been like once a month. Buffalo was only my 5th time being in a vert ramp and threw bigger tricks then everyone, exept for kevin but thats another story.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:28 PM
thats exactly what i was thinking. especially if theres a whole team hitting the vert, that'll be the most action its seen since Tony Hawk came here last. did you see the tips post? i remembered seeing that somewhere and decided to look it back up. i think its right now.

what site is that from, i know the flatspins one is from aggressive.com but what about the other one, what site is it from

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 05:33 PM
they're both from toxboe.net. i go there now instead of aggressive.com. well, i guess it depends on what i'm looking for that depends on what site i go to, cause i got 4 chocies now.

Cool, u guys thinking about a team and how to do it n all. Even without some kind of big planned event, eveyrone could be like hosts to everyone else, so if someone on the team was going to be traveling to where another team member lived for a comp or to visit relatives or whatever, they could do a small demo or at least hook up to skate, get shown the local sites and all that. Maybe even crash on each others floors. Get enuf guys (and girls) and everyone could travel cheap, staying at each others places.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 06:48 PM
see, the idea has spread. they got the right idea too. and it would cut down on more expenses of travling if we stayed at the teams houses. another good idea, good thinking TRSsk8r. you were right Paul, you do inspire people.

every sence i strated skating vert, 3 months ago, i loved it and want to do everything in my power to see it increase and a vert team would probably be the best thing right now to help new skaters see what vert skating is all about and maybe bring some new guys into the mix.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 06:54 PM
yea, cause even though i can't skate vert very well yet, i'm sure i could come up with some crazy things to do. like i found a transfer at the downtown park: lauch sideways out of the pipe, and over a stomach high rail about 8-9' away. its gonna be crazy. i've tired of the handplants, i'm ready for something new. but i could definitly think of some crazy things to do.

TRSsk8r
10-18-2004, 07:01 PM
hey, doesn't even have to be that crazy. Might even be good to include some who can't do much. Then other kids who don't skate vert can think they might be able to do that. I mean, who looks at Takeshi and thinks, hm, maybe I'll try that???

Paul
10-18-2004, 07:03 PM
i look at takeshi's viking flip and want to try it, and once i get the height i will try it, also look at the double backflip i know i have the rotation, i acually overrotate the double when going into foam, and want to huck it in vert. but i do agree that bringing guys who arn't that good at vert is good becuase up and commers and see that we all had to start somewhere small.

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 07:05 PM
true, true.....i guess thats why i'm there cause i can't even drop-in yet so i'm still a beginner. but yea, i'm sure that if we take vert to the "streets" then it will get a much better welcome into our skateparks.

Trueskater
10-18-2004, 07:15 PM
I think that would be a good idea

Trueskater
10-18-2004, 07:22 PM

KYSkater
10-18-2004, 07:36 PM
well theres a lot of these boards that go at least 2 pages. but i think most of those are conversations between you and me. but this is a good idea.

How much do you spend to get all that stuff made?

FYI if you de-interlace your pic it won't have those lines through it.
