I reckon shane was the first to try these things... we egged him on to give some a go back in like.... 97. He just busted them like 7 foot high... nearly ate some major shit from memory. These days most guys learn them on the resi or the foam pit.. although Taig learnt them on real vert.
point of the story? double flats are soooooooo gnarley... I start to sweat just thinking about them.. that's how I know I'm not ready for them yet.

Yea there HARD!!!!! i tried 1 today and ate major shit.
a hotflip is kinda like a flatspin, except you are riding parallel to the ground, but it's the same sideways rotation. try hotflips on street/park ramps. it's harder to flip sideways on level ground because your upperbody is pulled down by gravity as well as your lower body, but your legs are trying to rotate upwards, against the pull of gravity. whereas when you flatspin on vert, you're spining parallel to the ground, so gravity doesn't slow your spin.

I can't imagine learning doubles without Woodward. Make a trip to there some time.
