will street and vert rollers ever get along

I hope that someday street and vert rollers will be completly cool wiht one another but i feel we have a long way to go

i'd say that if your cool with other people(which you are) then that will spread. no one ever thinks skaters and boarders will get along. but they do when i'm around, i board and blade, so boarders give me credit for doing both.

borders hated me when i first started skating, mainly becuase i was the only blader that went to my park and i sucked, but now that im accually good there pretty cool with me.

yea i'm good at both (flatland on boards....stuff no oneelse can do) and good all around blader so they think its cool. but also im just cool to everyone i meet unless they not very good to me.

Ya, i use to board then i switched to blades because i saw the possibilities and now i havent looked back.

i just started boarding cause it gave me something to do when its raining and to piss my skateboard friends off

i tried boarding, tryed to drop in and fell backward cracking my head open. 17 stiches later i was back at the park, this time with i friedns bike. I hit the launch box, crashed and wouldn't you know it i broke 5 of the stiches back open. took three weeks off found an ols pair of "normal", ie non-aggressive, rollerblades in my garage and things just went from there

Great to see the optimism. I am too. I think we're all growing and learning to see that this world ain't gonna make it unless we can look past our differences and see our common humanity. I have no problem at skateparks with boarders or anyone else because I treat them all well. Even won over some pretty aggro skateboarders by lending a phone or offering a ride. And they grew up too. Maybe when people know we mean them no harm, they pull back their fangs.

weird i never knew there was hate between vert rollerbladers and street rollerbladers... that sucks... it's all rollerblading. hmmmm....

i dont think there is a hate at the pro level but at the AM level there is a definant seperation. I get harrassed quite a bit by some of the locals here becuase i ride vert.

easy to generalize and figure it's because they are ams or boarders or locals. But there will always be a few unhappy souls who look for targets to blame. And that has to be someone different. Some can be won over but some are just mental cases. Lucky for us all there are so many great people skating and doing good things.

i ride ramps and street and i have never had any insults shouted at me or anything like that, but i suppose im lucky. all that matters is inline skating will always be a great sport, and maybe someday all bladers, boarders and bmxers will get along :D
